We literally held our breath waiting until this puppy was old enough to evaluate.  We desperately wanted a bitch from this litter and when there was only one, we were almost afraid to hope, only to be disappointed.   It didn’t help matters much that she outweighed her brother for the first 7 weeks, at times by more than a pound.   She was soon dubbed “Piglet”.    For the first 7 weeks of life Miss Piggy was anything but feminine.   Then an astonishing transformation took place.   Piggy blossomed into one of the prettiest little girls we’ve seen since her mother was a pup.   She is beautifully balanced, with deep angles and moderate proportions, allowing her astonishing reach and drive rarely seen in a puppy so young.   In fact she was dubbed “the flying puppy” by her sire’s owner after she saw the photo below.

This photo was taken at 7.5 weeks; it almost looks like she’s not even touching the ground!

Combine that with a personality that absolutely SPARKLES, and we decided that we just couldn’t let her slip through our fingers.  Able to leap onto tall beds in a single bound (OK, sometimes it takes a couple of bounds), she’s a rough and tumble kind of girl.  What she lacks in grace, she makes up for in effort.

We should have known that “DRINKING” (Cheyenne’s Sweet Intoxication) and “GAMBLING” (Ashmore Win’Weim Royal Flush) would be a VOLATILE combination!  Look for this youngster to “explode” onto the show scene this  April!

Sparky.  Sparks.  Sparkles.  Sparkadoodledoo…  I took some flack for giving my little
girl weimy the “name of a boy Dalmatian”.  But I can’t tell you how many people have
told me after spending some time with her, that her name absolutely fits her!  Can you say “Sparky” and not smile?

She can be sweet and affectionate; she can be bossy and pushy.  She can be positively silly; she can be absolutely stunning.   She will make you laugh, push your buttons, lick your face and take your breath away. She is quite simply, what a Weimaraner is supposed to be.   Gosh we’re having fun with this one!

We put Sparky's budding show career on hold temporarily so she could have a litter of puppies. We've been wanting to breed to Reko for a number of years and didn't have the right bitch to take to him until now. He turned 10 in May of 2007 so we decided it was now or never. Sparky had a beautiful litter of 9 puppies on June 29, 2007. Click here to see their puppy stacks or click on their names to go to their individual pages.

We decided on a line breeding for Sparky's 2nd litter, and chose Paparazzi as the sire. June 29,2009 Sparky delivered 6 gorgeous puppies. Click here to see their puppy stacks or click on their names to go to their individual pages.

For Sparky's final litter, we chose Ch. Win'Weim It's My Grey Goose. Goose, like Paparazzi, is a Streak son bred to a Fred daughter. We got just 2 little girls. Click here to see their puppy stacks or click on their names to go to their individual pages.

Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping puppy?

Left: Sparky perfects her "innocent" look. Center: All attitude. Right: Intro to Quail at Cobb Lake.

Left: Sparky relaxes before going in the ring at her first Fun Match. Right: Sparky wins a Group 3 at her first Fun Match at 3.5 months!

Sparky post puppies - Even more GORGEOUS!

5 1/2 years old

The best mother we've ever had. She really enjoyed her puppies! Here she is with Mercy and Grace, April 2010.

One of my favorite photos. An angel and a blessing.

All my world
All I've lost
The wrecks I've made here
The lives it cost
Your hand restores
Your words make whole
With all my soul
I thank you
I owe You
Devotion

All my past
My tainted name
You stole its legacy of pride and shame
You're all I love
You're all I fear
I'm drawing near
to face you
to show you
Devotion.

You found me
In a shallow grave
You dragged me out from beneath it all
You healed me
Saved me
In the nick of time
Your perfect time
