April 2005 Sparky makes good on her big debut! We started the weekend with a dry run at the Fun Match, winning BOB and going on to win Group II in the Puppy Sporting Group. Then at the show on Saturday, she wowed us by winning the Bred By Exhibitor class and then going Reserve to a major at the tender age of 6 months 3 days. In the process she won Best Bred By Weimaraner and went Group III in the Bred By Sporting Group. She entertained folks ringside with her silly antics, spontaneously launching herself in various directions and putting dusty paw prints on people's backsides. Manners training is obliviously next on our list, (grin)! May 13-15, 2005 We took Albuquerque by storm! Sparky started us off on the right foot by winning Best in Puppy Sweeps! Mattie followed her lead and for the 3 year in a row, she won Best Veteran Bitch! The Specialty show had Sparky and Pawnee going head to head for the points and I was forced to make a choice about who to stay on. Well, I decided that Sparky was young and had plenty of time, so I Pawnee and I showed our hearts out and won Winners Bitch and Best of Winners, Sparky won her 2nd Reserve. The following day, I devoted to showing Pawnee, and she went WB to bring her within 1 major of finishing her Championship. Sunday, I turned my attention to Sparky, and she continued our winning streak, going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Puppy. She earned her first point and won me an atomic alarm clock – a perfect prize for the girl with the explosive personality! Left: Like Granddaughter, like Grandmother. Greatness runs in the family. May 27, 2005 Sparky's 4th time in the ring – WB, BOW! June 4, 2005 5th show – Reserve September 10th, 2005 Sparky captured her first major today, HOORAY!!! Competition in bitches is extremely heated, there are a LOT of lovely and deserving ladies in the ring currently, so this is a HUGE win for a youngster! Sparky's racking up an impressive record so far - 10 shows, 3 WB/BOW (one major), 3 Reserves (one to a major), and a Best in Sweepstakes win. GO SPARKY!!! November 12, 2005 After winning her first major in September, we took a couple months off to get settled in our new country home and get used to the new lifestyle. The fresh air and quiet life proved to be quite invigorating and this month we came out swinging, capturing Spark's 2nd major! At 8 points, she is over half way to her championship!

March 2006 Ft Worth Texas. Sparky goes WB and BOW at the Loan Star Weimaraner Club Specialty Show for a 4 point Major. She goes Reserve the next 2 days.

May 2006 Albuquerque repeat! Sparky goes Reserve at the Albuquerque Weimaraner Specialty for the 2nd year in a row. She's really growing up!

October 13 2006 – Sparky’s 2nd birthday! 

We are in Canton TX for the Weimaraner Club of America’s Regional Specialty and Futurity/Maturity Show.  There are Breeders and Wiems from as far away as ___ and ____   Sparky and I are the only contingency from Colorado, it’s up to us to bring home gold…  The day started with the Futurity.  Sparky earned us our first Futurity placement with a 4th in the Intermediate Bitch class, the largest and most competitive class at the Futurity/Maturity.  This is an honor and we’re proud.

Ok, now for the Specialty. 

Sparky is again entered in the largest class at the show, Open Bitch. We are competing against several well known pros and big name kennels…  Take a deep breath….  And remember, we have Sparky, the flying puppy.  They won’t know what hit them! 

This is the start of the Open Bitch Class.  We are 3rd from the end.

The judge made her cut and narrowed it down to her 4 placements...  But who gets what? This is the nerve-wracking part….

Is it us or is it them???   I wish I had a picture of us right after this when the judge pointed at us and said, “You are 1….” 
The relief was enormous! 

Winners Bitch, Best of Winners – 5 pt major.  We won the stool pictured, a pillow and a tote bag.

Sparky earned her Grand Championship in February of 2011, with 5 major wins and Best of Breeds along the way.

She will debut as a Veteran in 2012.
