After trying on several different names we settled on "Phoenix", just in time for the release of the latest installment of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books. The Phoenix is a mythical bird with magical powers. At the end of his life, he is consumed by fire and reborn from the ashes. His tears can heal even mortal wounds. And his song is one that inspires courage, strength and faith in the face of grave danger.

Phoenix is an atypical Weimaraner boy. He LOVES EVERYONE! Phoenix has presented a unique challenge for us - how to curb his enthusiasam?!

So what do you do when you are the newest member of a family of multi-titled, versatile excellent dogs? You start early and hit the ground running! We expect Phoenix to follow in the footsteps of his multi-titled big sister and aunt - Cheyenne's Miss Smarty Pants CDX, NRD, Major Show Pointed, UKC CDX and Agility Champion.
He is showing promise in several areas; including Obedience, Agility, Hunting and Retreiving.

Beginning Agility It's never too early to get started! Especially when you have a multi-talented sister, like Miss Smarty Pants, to catch up with!

He has his Daddy's bullet-proof temperament, taking all things in stride. He thinks his older sister, Sparky, is da BOMB; follows her everywhere – monkey see, monkey do… So far, she doesn't seem to have realized what a pain in the “you know what”, little brothers are. If we can manage to put a lid on his overflowing enthusiasm, he will make his show debut in Pueblo this November, otherwise watch for him in 2006.
