Yes that's right, we're back for a second helping! Larry ended up being the father to both Lady Bug and GrassHopper, now known as Louie, and while they only gave us 2 puppies, what exceptional pupppies they are! Beautiful conformation, awesome temperaments and birdy as can be! What more could we ask for except maybe a few more baby bugs?

The LOVE BUG!

Cricket is a stunning bitch with uncontainable enthusiasm. Her tail literally never stops wagging!

Cricket started her show career with a bang! Group I at her very first fun match :) She followed that up with a Group II in Puppy Sweeps and a major win her first weekend out. She finished with 3 majors the day after her first birthday. She earned a placement in her futurity and made the cut at her first appearance at a national event. Cricket also showed in Junior Showmanship with Bailee Rodgers of Casper, WY and together they earned the designation of #1 Junior in 2016 & 2017.

Cricket gives me goosebumps watching her work in the field. She has range and intensity, style and enthusiasm. She completed her JH with no formal training and already has legs toward her JHA title.

We're excited to see what the next chapter brings.

It's difficult to put into words what this bitch does to me. I already HAD a heart  dog. I didn't NEED another one. I didn't DESERVE another one. I am already so blessed in that department. And yet inexplicably, here she is. I have only to catch her gaze and her tail starts wagging. A smile and her whole butt wiggles. One word and she can't hold back any longer!  I can't hold back any longer.
She is -- pure JOY.

Larry is a handsome boy with a serious expression. Don't let that fool you, he has a habit of stealing stuffed animals and taking them for a walk to visit the horses on his 7 acre property in the country!

Weimaraners are an intelligent breed and Larry is no exception. He figured out how to open latches and gates at an early age and even has a B&E (Breaking and Entering) on his record...

Larry hit the ground running! 7 months old and his first weekend showing with competition nets him a Reserve & 3 x Winners Dog, 2 Best of Winners and 2 Best Puppy. Just 30 short days later, he was a new champion with 2 FIVE Point MAJORS!

Next came a Best of Breed win @ 10 months and Grand Champion - all before his first birthday! Several Best of Breeds followed and a Best in Specialty win in front of his home crowd @ the age of 2. This February he completed his BRONZE Grand Championship by earning 100 GCH points!

Lest you think Larry is just a pretty face, nothing could be farther from the truth!
Larry finished his JH in the spring of 2016 with no formal training. He has an excellent nose, staunch point and is a natural backer! He's in training for his Senior Hunter with plans to compete this fall.

Larry is a medium sized with excellent substance. He's a balanced, moderate dog with a beautiful head and intelligent expression.

Larry has 2 litters on the ground from last year and 3 puppies already pointed. We are extremely pleased with the consistency and quality of the puppies and are excited to see them grow up!

This pedigree is very similar to the pairing we did last summer with breeding Larry to Cricket's half sister, Bizzy. We are very pleased with the temperaments and depth of quality in that litter and exited to see how this one shakes out. We employ a breeding strategey used by most long-term successful breeder, approximatelay 75% line breedings, 25% outcross. We do this to have a higher degree of predictablity in the outcome and to have a better chance at identifying traits to avoid.
